This pair of earrings shows a full pencil, joined by a little ring to a hexagon cross-section of a pencils. Made from the highest quality acrylic with a little bit of wood to represent the wooden pencil barrel, on surgical steel studs (for pierced ears).

Designed and created in collaboration with Sapphire Frills, a small independent business based in Norfolk, just over the border from where I am based in Suffolk.
This pair of earrings shows a full pencil, joined by a little gold coloured ring to a hexagon cross-section of a pencils. From the top of the hexagon stud to the bottom of the pencil earring, they measure 6cm long by 1cm wide. When worn as a pair they are asymetric in terms fo the colour placement.
The earrings have surgical steel posts and butterfly backs made from a mixture of metals but are most importantly NICKEL FREE and HYPOALLERGENIC. Nickel is usually the metal that most people are allergic to therefore, most customers with sensitive ears are fine with this option. The earring itself is made from the highest quality acrylic with a little bit of wood to represent the wooden pencil barrel.
Colours: turquoise, blue, green, purple and gold.
Please note that due to variations in the acrylic patterning, each item is unique.
Caring for your earrings: please don’t wear near any water and store inside a jewellery box when not in use.

Packaging
Every order is packaged in a way to protect your purchase. We have finessed this over the last 10 years to use fully-recyclable, non-plastic packaging that gives the biggest protection without using lots of resources. We do sometimes reuse packaging from stock deliveries, and this is the only time we will send with bubble wrap or other plastic packaging.
Shipping
We try to be as fair as possible with the postage pricing. We operate dynamic pricing, reflective of the current costs of sending post. The reason for our pricing structure is to ensure your parcel has the appropriate insurance and tracking to increase the chance of its safe delivery wherever you are in the world. The postage options that you receive are dependent upon what is in your basket and you will see them whilst processing your order. If you are unsure, please select the ‘Contact me’ option upon checking out, and I will get in touch so that we can proceed with your order.
December 2024 Update: Unfortunately we cannot send to anywhere in Europe or Northern Ireland at the present time. This is due to new product safety regulations. We hope that we will be able to ship there again in future. Everywhere else in the world is unaffected.
Any orders travelling outside of the U.K. require a customs declaration form. You will not be charged our U.K. VAT at 20%. When you go to check out and the website recognises you are not within the U.K., the VAT will not be billed to you. However, you will be charged your own country’s taxes and a handling charge when it reaches the destination country. This varies for each country. We are not responsible for any custom taxes or charges you have to pay on receiving your order. If you refuse the parcel on arrival and it is returned to us we will only refund the value of the goods minus 10% to cover the cost of administrating your order.
USA Shipping: Orders going to the US are now subject to the US tariffs. These are tariffs that are due to the US government and have to be paid before the parcel will be granted entry to the US. The tariff is based on where the goods are made, not where they are being sent from:
Made in the UK: 10% tariff
Made in Europe (except Switzerland): 15% tarriff
Made in Switzerland: 39% tariff
The tariff will be calculated manually based on the order content and payment will be requested before the order can be sent.
It is possible the US postal system may apply extra charges but so far that hasn’t been experienced.
We will aim to despatch your order within 1-3 working days (Monday to Friday) after the order is received. Please be aware that I also work part-time alongside the business so cannot always respond immediately to email correspondence or messages. Same day despatch is not possible unless specifically requested by prior arrangement. We will keep you informed as to the status of your order.
