Tiffany Budd endeavors to create something a little different! Based in a studio in Surrey, she really enjoys creating paintings and drawings which have lots of colour, interesting shapes and movement. Tiffany has named her unique style ‘Fractured’ as it looks as though the image has been shattered (like glass) then put together again, almost Cubist, but still recognisable.
Over the past 15 years, after a visit to the Tate Gallery where The Russian Constructivists artwork was exhibiting, Tiffany was completely blown away by their paintings and drawings. It was inspiring! When she got home she got out her trusty sketchbook and started some ideas. The dynamism and energy in the work was incredibly exciting. She focuses on perspective and light enhancing those elements with different tones and depth of colour.
Tiffany works in pastel, acrylic and coloured pencils, which she believes are a really under rated medium! The portability of the pencils is great as you can take them anywhere and create anything. Using her imagination in her artwork and unique creativity is what she loves to do.
